How to Deliver SCORM 1.2 Training in Enrolius

Prepare, test and deliver a SCORM 1.2 package in Enrolius while keeping credential rules separate from package completion.

In this article

Enrolius supports one SCORM 1.2 package in the beta learning flow. Test the exact package before using it with a live certification cohort.

What SCORM does

SCORM packages learning content and defines browser-based communication between the content and a learning environment. A package may report status, score, time and other values, but authors and tools implement these rules differently.

SCORM compatibility is not a guarantee that every package will behave identically.

Prepare the package

Confirm that the export is SCORM 1.2, not SCORM 2004, xAPI or a generic ZIP. Keep the original source project and record the authoring-tool version. Use a concise file name and avoid unnecessary nested archives.

SCORM 2004 is not part of the initial Enrolius product scope.

Define completion before upload

Write down which reported value counts as complete, whether a score is required and what happens after failure or exit. Compare that policy with the package's own settings. A mismatch can make a completed course appear incomplete or vice versa.

Test the learner experience

Use a clean learner account and test:

  1. First launch
  2. Navigation and media
  3. Saving and resuming
  4. Passing completion
  5. Failing or incomplete exit
  6. Reopening after completion
  7. Mobile behavior where relevant

Record observed status and score after each case.

Keep certification separate

A SCORM completion may satisfy the learning requirement. It does not automatically prove identity, external evidence or professional eligibility. Configure the certification rule so completion either triggers issuance or creates an approval step, according to the program.

Plan the beta boundary

Because SCORM 1.2 is a beta capability, start with a limited cohort, retain the source package and keep an export of critical learner and credential records. Report package-specific behavior with reproduction steps.

Enrolius uses SCORM Cloud only as a private conformance sandbox during product testing, not as the public production delivery promise.

Alternatives

If the program does not require packaged interactivity, native text, PDF, embed and quiz lessons are often simpler to maintain. A no-course evidence route may suit programs based on prior learning or assessment elsewhere.

Frequently asked questions

Does Enrolius support SCORM 2004?

No, not in the initial scope. Use SCORM 1.2 beta and test the package.

Does completing a SCORM package issue a credential?

Only if the provider's configured program rule makes that completion sufficient.
